O R D E R

% 31.07.2018 The petitioner apprehends threat to her life and limb from her relatives including her father. The Court had directed protection to be granted to her. According to the learned counsel for the State, the police officers have interacted with her. Telephone numbers of three police officers, including the beat officer and the SHO, have been given to her, to contact in case of any exigency.

Be that as it may, in so far as the petitioner feels threated by her family members, the SHO of the area shall interact with her and provide her due protection as per the threat assessed in this regard. Additionally, telephone numbers of a lady constable shall be provided to her. These numbers shall be kept operational at all times so that any exigency can be intimated on either of the numbers by the petitioner. Any message received on the said numbers or on any other telephone number of the police either

by way of a telephone call or SMS shall be immediately responded to. The safety and security of the petitioner shall be assessed by the SHO on a weekly basis with due endorsement of the same in the Roznamcha. The Beat Constable shall record entries in his Beat Book. The police shall ensure that except for the lady constables, preferably in plain cloth, nobody shall enter the petitioner's place of residence as otherwise there could be adverse perception about her, socially.

The learned counsel for the petitioner's father states that there can be no threat of any kind whatsoever from the father against his own daughter, and in fact the father himself is concerned about the safety and security of his daughter, and he would want her to be happy and will extend every possible help in this regard.

No further orders are required at this stage. The petition stands disposed off.
