% 25.05.2018 Notice. Learned APP accepts notice for respondent no.1. Respondent no.2-Smt. Krishna is also present in Court and accepts notice. She has been identified by SI Vijay Kumar of police station Farsh Bazar. It is submitted that petitioner and respondent no. 2 are neighbours. A quarrel took place between them on some trivial issue which led to registration of FIR No. 502/2014 under Sections 451/354A/354/323/506 IPC registered at police station Farsh Bazar. It is further submitted that with the intervention of their common friends and other family members, petitioner and respondent no. 2 have settled their disputes amicably, therefore, aforesaid FIR may be quashed.

Respondent no. 2 submits that she has

settled the matter with the petitioner of her own free will and without any undue force, pressure or coercion, therefore, she has no objection in case FIR is quashed. Affidavit of respondent no. 2 is also on record to this effect. Keeping in mind the settlement arrived at between the petitioner and respondent no. 2 voluntarily, in my view, no fruitful purpose would be served to keep the criminal proceedings pending. Accordingly, in the interest of justice, aforesaid FIR and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

Petition is disposed of in the above terms.
