O R D E R

% 27.07.2016 The present petition has been filed to seek the quashing of FIR No.1320/2015 dated 24.09.2015 u/s 406/420 IPC registered at PS Mukherjee Nagar, Delhi. The petition is premised on a settlement arrived at with the complainant/ respondent no.2.

Respondent no.2 is present in court with his counsel. Learned counsel for respondent no.2 submits that while seeking anticipatory bail from this court, the petitioner had deposited an amount of Rs.5 lacs in this court and the said amount has been released to the complainant. Learned counsel submits that respondent no.2 is, therefore, satisfied and is not interested in pursuing the complaint any further. Respondent no.2 is identified by his counsel as well as the I.O.

Respondent no.2 states that he has arrived at the settlement with the petitioner out of his own free will and accord. He also joins the prayer that the FIR be quashed. Accordingly, no useful purpose would be served in continuing with the FIR and the proceedings arising therefrom. Accordingly, the FIR stands quashed.

Petition stands disposed of. Dasti.
