+ W.P.(C) 3249/2016 & CM No.13851/2016 ROHINI JOLLY ..... Petitioner Through:
Mr. Sachit Jolly, Adv.
Versus
GOVERNMENT OF NATIONAL CAPITAL TERRITORY OF DELHI ..... Respondent Through:
Mr. Sanjoy Ghose, ASC with Mr. Vikramaditya, Adv. for GNCTD.
CORAM:
HON'BLE THE CHIEF JUSTICE HON'BLE MS. JUSTICE SANGITA DHINGRA SEHGAL
O R D E R
% 04.08.2016 1.
This petition by way of public interest petition was filed on 18.04.2016 challenging the notification dated 11.04.2016 issued by the respondent prohibiting plying of non-transport four-wheeled vehicles having registration numbers ending with odd and even digits on the dates specified therein.
2.
Admittedly, the period of prohibition was only from 15th to 30th April, 2016. No material is placed before us to show that the respondent is contemplating to take similar measures in near future. 3.
Hence, nothing remains for consideration on merits. 4.
Accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. 5.
However, the petitioner is at liberty to file a fresh writ petition in case necessity thereof arises.
CHIEF JUSTICE SANGITA DHINGRA SEHGAL, J AUGUST 04, 2016/pmc
