% 18.05.2016 The present petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with Section 482 Cr.PC, 1973 under Sections 135/150 of Indian Electricity Act, registered at Police Station Sarita Vihar, New Delhi. The subject FIR came to be registered on an complainant filed on behalf of the respondent-BSES Rajdhani Power Limited to the effect that the petitioner was illegally extracting energy. Notice.

Mr. Pathak, learned counsel appearing on behalf of BSES Rajdhani Power Ltd accepts notice and states that the underlying dispute that led to the registration of the FIR has been settled amicably by and before the National Lok Adalat on 13.2.2016 and that in terms of the same, a sum of Rs. 2,25,760/- has already been received from the petitioner towards full and final settlement of the subject dispute. In view thereof, he has instructions not to oppose the quashing of the subject FIR as prayed for in the present petition.

Since the dispute that led to the subject FIR has been resolved before the National Lok Adalat on 13.2.2016 and a sum of Rs. 2,25,760/- has already been paid by the petitioner, no useful purpose shall be served in pursuing the subject FIR.

Accordingly, the subject FIR is set aside and quashed. The petition is disposed of.

No costs.
