% 01.05.2018 The petitioner has preferred the present writ petition to seek a writ of habeas corpus for the production of Ishita, whom he claims to have got married to. The case of the petitioner is that he married Ishita on 29.11.2017. Sometime thereafter, according to the petitioner, Ishita was taken away by her parents and is being forcibly detained by them from returning to the petitioner.
The status report tendered in court is taken on record. Ishita is present in court today. We have interacted with her as well as the petitioner in chamber. Ishita states that she does not wish to return to live with the petitioner.
