O R D E R
% 18.11.2016 The petitioner has filed the present petition seeking quashing of FIR No.550/2016 registered on the complaint of the complainant under Section 308 IPC against the petitioner at Police Station - Mangolpuri. The complainant is present in Court. He is identified by the Investigating Officer.
The petitioner, who is present in Court, is remorseful about his conduct and states that he shall not repeat his conduct and will not lose temper in future. He also assures that he shall not cause any harm or
harassment to the complainant.
The parties have arrived at a settlement. The complainant states that he has not been subjected to any pressure or coercion and that he has entered the settlement out of his own free will. The complainant further states that he joins the prayer for quashing of the FIR in question in view of the assurance given by the petitioner.
On account of the said assurance and the fact that the complainant does not wish to proceed further with the matter, I am of the view that no useful purpose would be served in proceeding further with the FIR in question and the proceedings emanating therefrom. The same are hereby quashed.
