O R D E R

% 25.04.2016 Present writ petition has been filed challenging decision of respondent No.1-JNU whereby people have been restrained from entering the JNU campus for the purpose of morning walk.

It has been averred in the petition that citizens who are residents of localities situated near JNU like the petitioner used to visit the same since 1989 for a morning walk.

Petitioner, who appears in person, states that since 10th February, 2016 the citizens who used to visit the campus of respondent-JNU for morning walks

have been denied entry into the campus premise without there being any formal notice/order in this regard.

He further states that petitioner sent a legal notice dated 12th March, 2016 to Vice Chancellor, JNU, regarding the aforesaid issue, but no action has been taken till date.

Consequently, present writ petition and application are disposed of with a direction to the Vice Chancellor, JNU, to dispose of the petitioner's representation/legal notice dated 12th March, 2016 within a period of four weeks.

However, it is clarified that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the controversy. Rights and contentions of all the parties are left open.
