1. The present petition seeks a declaration to the effect that land acquisition proceedings in respect of land admeasuring 50 bigha 4 biswa in Khasra Nos. 1min, 2min, 26min, 27min, 28min, 29min, 30min, and 32min/1 situated in the revenue estate of Sarjapur, Delhi stand lapsed. Notice under Section 4 of the Land Acquisition Act 1894 ('LAA') was issued on 18th November 1980. Notice under Section 6 of the LAA was issued on the same date after invoking the urgency clause under Section 17 (4) of the LAA. The final award was passed by the Respondent some time in 1986-87.

2. No explanation is given for the inordinate delay in the Petitioner approaching this Court for relief.

3. Learned counsel for the Petitioner seeks leave to withdraw this petition with liberty to file a proper petition explaining the inordinate delay in approaching the Court for relief.
