% 30.05.2018 It has not been disputed by the counsel for the respondent no.2 that matter has been amicably settled between the petitioners and respondent no.2-electiricity company, inasmuch as, settled amount stands paid to the respondent no.2. Learned counsel for the respondent no.2 further states that respondent no.2 has no objection in case FIR No. 140/2015 under Section 135 of the Indian Electricity Act, 2003 registered at police station Mehrauli and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed in view of the settlement.

Keeping in mind the settlement arrived at between the petitioners and

respondent no. 2 voluntarily and the fact that settled amount has been paid by the petitioner, in my view, no fruitful purpose would be served to keep the criminal proceedings pending. Accordingly, in the interest of justice, aforesaid FIR and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

Petition is disposed of in the above terms. Miscellaneous applications are disposed of as infructuous.
