O R D E R

% 28.04.2016 The present petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeks a direction to the competent authority to release the petitioner on parole on the ground that his father has passed away on 19.04.2016 and the petitioner's presence is essential for performance of last rites. Upon verification a status report has been filed on behalf of the official respondent. The same is taken on record.

A perusal of the status report reveals that the petitioner's father did in fact pass away on 19.04.2016.

In view of the exigency of the situation and on humanitarian grounds, it is considered just, necessary and expedient to allow the present petition in part. The petitioner be released on parole forthwith for a period of ten days from the date of his release subject to his furnishing a personal bond in the sum of Rs.15,000/- with one surety of the like amount to the satisfaction of the Jail Superintendent subject to the following conditions that:- (1) The petitioner shall report to the SHO, Police Station- Anand Vihar

on 02.05.2016 at 10 a.m. during the period of parole. (2) He shall furnish his mobile telephone number to the Jail Authorities at the time of release, which he undertakes to keep operational during the period of parole.

(3) He shall not leave the National Capital Territory of Delhi without prior permission of the court.

(4) The petitioner shall surrender before the jail authorities at the expiry of the period of parole.

With the above directions the writ petition is disposed of. A copy of this order be sent to the Jail Superintendent by Express Messenger for compliance and to be communicated to the petitioner SIDDHARTH MRIDUL, J APRIL 28, 2016 mk
