After some arguments, Mr.Meet Malhotra, Senior Advocate appearing on behalf of the appellant, on instructions, submits that the relief prayed for in the present appeal is limited to a direction to the University Grants Commission (in short "UGC") to dispose of his representation on the subject matter, as expeditiously as possible, and preferably within a period of six weeks from the date of the representation i.e. 27th April, 2018, in terms of the directions contained in the impugned order dated 23rd April, 2018. 2.

Having heard the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the parties, the UGC is directed to decide the said representation, after affording an opportunity to the appellant of being heard, by passing a speaking order, within six

weeks from the date of the said representation under intimation to the appellant.

With the aforesaid directions, the writ petition stands disposed of in the above terms.
