This is a petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. for quashing of FIR No.99/13 under Sections 498-A/406/34 IPC registered at Police Station Jagat Puri. It is stated that the matter has been settled amicably and the petitioner No.1 and Respondent No.2 are living together happily in the matrimonial home for the last one year. 2.

Respondent No.2/ Complainant is present before the Court and is identified by the Investigating Officer. I have enquired from her whether the matter has been settled with the petitioners amicably CRL.M.C. 1589/2016

without fear and pressure. She has stated that the matter has been settled without any fear or pressure and is are living happily in the matrimonial home for the last one year. She has no objection to the quashing of the FIR.

Since the matter has been settled between the parties and the complainant is residing with petitioner No.1 in the matrimonial home happily, no useful purpose will be served to continue with the proceedings. In the interest of justice and to enable the parties to maintain their matrimonial relations, FIR No.99/13 under Sections 498-A/406/34 IPC registered at Police Station Jagat Puri and all the proceedings arising therefrom are quashed.

The petition is disposed of accordingly.
