The petitioner - a senior citizen - has filed the present petition, inter alia, praying that the respondent be directed to fix a hearing and dispose of the petition preferred under the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007.

The learned counsel appearing for the respondent states that the petition preferred by the petitioner was not taken up as the Maintenance Tribunal was not functioning. She states that it is now functional and the notice for the hearing would be issued to the petitioner within a period of one week from today.

In this view, no further orders are required to be passed in this

petition, the same is disposed of.
