This writ petition has been filed by the petitioners under Article 226 of the Constitution of India with the following prayers: (i) to issue directions to respondent No.1 to provide protection and legal assistance to the petitioners from any illegal acts of respondents No.2 to 10. (ii) to issue directions to respondent No.1 to provide protection to the petitioners to enable them to move freely within Delhi and other parts of India and settle at any place in Delhi.

(iii) to issue directions to respondents No.2 to 10 not to interfere in the matrimonial life of the petitioners and not to extend threats to them. (iv) to issue directions to SHO, PS Nihal Vihar to provide protection to the petitioners from illegal acts of respondents. 2.

Status report has been filed by the State wherein it is stated that W.P.(CRL) 1250/2016

enquiries were made from the petitioners as well as the father of petitioner No.2, who stated that they all are living happily and have no threat from any quarter.

Ms.Nandita Rao, A.S.C. for the State submits that though as per status report at present there is no element of threat to petitioners, still State is ready to provide protection to the petitioners through Beat Staff in future, if there is any element of threat to them from the respondents No.2 to 10. 4.

In view of the aforesaid assurance given by the State, nothing further remains to be considered in this petition and the same is disposed of. PRATIBHA RANI, J.
