1. The short prayer in the present petition is that a direction should be issued to the Respondents to pay the principal amount of compensation and interest as per the Land Acquisition Act 1894 (LAA) arising from Award No.53/1978-79.

2. Counsel for the Respondents states that the present petition will be treated as a representation and disposed of by a speaking order within a period of three months from today. The order be communicated to the Petitioner W.P.(C) 4459/2016

within a week thereafter. If the Petitioner is still aggrieved by the said order, it will be open to him to seek appropriate remedies in accordance with law.

3. The petition is disposed of.
