Crl. M.C. No. 1618/2016 By this petition filed under Article 227 of the Constitution of India read with Section 482 of Cr. P.C., the petitioner seeks directions to the learned Metropolitan Magistrate (Mahil Court), Karkardooma Court New Delhi to expedite the trial.

Perusal of the order dated 12.01.2012 and 26.10.2013 passed by the District Judge & Additional Sessions Judge and District &

Sessions Judge, respectively reveals that both the orders are passed by the Sessions Court directing the application be placed before learned Metropolitan Magistrate concerned and take all possible steps towards speedy trial of the case. The order dated 26.10.2013 is reproduced as under:

"An application has been filed for speedy trial of the aforesaid cases which have been pending in the Court of Ms. Geetanjali, MM (Mahila Court), Shahdara, Delhi. Applicant Sh. O.P. Kumrawat states that he is aged about 66 years and a senior citizen.

This application be placed before the concerned Court which will take all possible steps for speedy trial of the case.

In view of the aforesaid order passed in the case, this Court observes that the aforesaid order has been passed by the Court of Sessions and I do not find any ground to pass any further directions in this regard. Consequently, the present petition filed by the petitioner is dismissed.
