Present petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. has been preferred by the petitioner for quashing of the FIR No.202/2013 registered under Sections 406/498A/34 IPC at PS Gokul Puri. It is stated that the matter has been settled amicably with the respondent No.2 / complainant before learned Principal Judge, North-East District, Family Courts, Vishwas Nagar, Delhi on 28.10.2015. 2.

Respondent No.2 / complainant - with her counsel is present before the Court and is identified by the Investigating Officer. I have

made enquiries from respondent No.2 if the dispute has been settled by her with the petitioner of her own free will without any fear or pressure. She has stated that the dispute with the petitioner has been resolved amicably with her free consent and she has no objection to the quashing of the FIR. She also states that all the payments agreed to have been received. Remaining payment of `1 lakh has been paid to her vide DD No.000048 dated 28.09.2016 drawn on HDFC Bank, today in the Court.

Petition is supported by affidavits of the parties. Copy of settlement order dated 28.10.2015 is on record. Since the matter has been settled between the parties amicably, no useful purpose will be served to continue with the proceedings. In the interest of justice and to put an end to the litigation, FIR No.202/2013 registered under Sections 406/498A/34 IPC at PS Gokul Puri and all the proceedings arising therefrom are quashed.

The petition stands disposed of accordingly.
