The present petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with Section 482 Cr.P.C. has been filed on behalf of the petitioner for seeking extension of the period of parole granted by an order dated 11.04.2018. Status report is on record. 2.

I have heard the learned counsel for the parties and have examined the file.

The petitioner was granted three weeks parole from the date of his release by an order dated 11.04.2018. The petitioner seeks extension of the parole period as during this period he met with an accident and suffered injuries.

By an order dated 02.05.2018 the parole period granted in the order dated 11.04.2018 was extended till today on the same terms and conditions.

In the interest of justice and for the reasons mentioned in the application the parole period is extended for one week more from today on the same terms and conditions.

On the expiry of the parole period after one week, the petitioner shall surrender before the concerned Jail Superintendent. 6.

The petition stands disposed of in the above terms. 7.
