% 23.09.2016 By this petition, the petitioner seeks quashing of FIR No.222/2016 under Section 376/506 IPC registered at PS Kalkaji and proceedings pursuant thereto as the parties have settled the matter. The offence punishable under Section 376 IPC being serious in nature, the above noted FIR cannot be quashed invoked in view of the decision of the Supreme Court reported as 2012 (9) Scale 257: 2012 (10) SCC 303 Gian Singh Vs. State of Punjab & Anr. and (2014) 6 SCC 466 Narinder Singh and Ors.vs. State of Punjab and Anr. Petition is dismissed.
