% 18.07.2017 After some hearing, learned counsel for the petitioner sought liberty to withdraw the writ petition in view of the statement made in paras 7 and 10 of the counter affidavit of the Land Acquisition Collector (through Sh. Pranjal. J. Hazarika), disclosing that no locus is made out and that the possession of the suit lands was taken over and that compensation too was deposited.
The counter affidavit also discloses that the petitioner is a subsequent purchaser and that there is no detail that such purchase was recorded in the revenue records so as to entitle him to be a
"person interested" in accordance with law.
Learned counsel seeks liberty to withdraw the writ petition and pursue the proceedings in accordance with law. Liberty granted. The writ petition is accordingly dismissed as withdrawn along with the pending application.
