% 25.09.2018 The CBI has filed a status report on record and the copy has been tendered in Court by Mr. Bhandari, learned SPP. The same has been perused. It appears that not much headway has been made by the CBI on the preliminary inquiry registered by it.
Considering the fact that, in the present case, the CBI has only undertaken a preliminary inquiry, obviously it is facing difficulty in gathering information which could form the basis for registration of a case.
In these circumstances, we firstly direct the Delhi Police to render all cooperation to the CBI and to furnish whatever information is called for without any delay whatsoever. The Commissioner of Delhi Police shall issue appropriate directions in this regard to all
concerned. We also further direct the CBI to allocate sufficient personnel to assist the DIG in the conduct of the process of inquiry so that information gathering could be taken up in an expeditious manner. At least four cases have already come to light wherein the role of the Officer of the FSL appears to be doubtful.
The CBI should initially concentrate on the said cases before enlarging the scope of their inquiry. Let a further status report be filed before the next date. List on 30.10.2018.
Order be given dasti under signatures of the Court Master. VIPIN SANGHI, J I.S.MEHTA, J SEPTEMBER 25, 2018 nk
