In the order passed by this Court in these petitions on 17th November, 2023, in view of the fact that show cause notices under the Public Premises Act (Eviction of Unauthorised Occupants) Act, 1971 (hereinafter 'PPA, 1971') were served upon the petitioners, counsel for the petitioners sought time to take instructions on whether these petitions can be disposed of, reserving the rights and contentions of the petitioners before the Estate Officer.

Counsel for the parties submit that arguments have been heard before the Estate Officer and the judgment is likely to be pronounced shortly. 3.

withdraw the present writ petitions, while reserving all rights and contentions of the petitioner in the proceedings arising under the PPA, 1971. 4.

Accordingly, the present petitions are dismissed as withdrawn. 5.

It is made clear that this Court has not made any observation with regard to the merits of the matter and hence, this withdrawal will not influence the proceedings under the PPA, 1971.
