CORAM:

HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE NAVIN CHAWLA

% 22.05.2018 This petition under Section 29A(5) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 has been filed by the petitioner seeking extension of time for making of the Arbitral Award by the Arbitral Tribunal adjudicating the disputes that have arisen between the parties in relation to the Concession Agreement dated 15.07.2010.

Learned counsel for the respondent, on instructions submits that the respondent has no objection if the time for making of the Award is extended by further period of two months with effect from 26.05.2018. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that looking into the nature of the disputes and the proceedings, it may not be possible for the Arbitral Tribunal to make the Award within two months from 26.05.2018 and this may in fact, delay the proceedings. He further submits that the Tribunal itself has sought six months extension for making of the Award as recorded

in its proceedings dated 25.04.2018.

Having perused the contents of the petition and considering the progress of the arbitration proceedings, the time for making of the Arbitral Award is extended by a period of six months with effect from 26.05.2018. The petition is allowed in the above terms with no order as to cost. Dasti under the signature of the Court Master. NAVIN CHAWLA, J MAY 22, 2018/Arya
