Upon attention of the petitioner, appearing in person, who has filed this petition claiming that he was appointed as the Returning Officer for holding elections to the post of office bearers of the respondent No.1 Society, being drawn to the role performed by him as Returning Officer and which was totally beyond his duty as a Returning Officer and upon it being put to him as to why the petition, besides on the aspect of maintainability should not be dismissed on the ground of the petitioner owing to his said conduct being not fit to be a Returning Officer, the petitioner withdraws the petition.
