Both the sides have stated that matter has been amicably settled on 23.07.2024 through Mediation. As apprised, in terms of such settlement, the appellant herein has agreed to pay a sum of Rs. 4 lacs today to respondent no. 2 Mr. Javed, who got injured in the incident in question, and further sum of Rs. 1 lac would be paid to him after the FIR No. 335/2017 u/s 287/338 IPC PS Sultan Puri is quashed.

Respondent no. 2 is present in the Court and he also states that he would render due assistance for the purpose of quashing of said FIR. 3.

Pursuant to the aforesaid settlement, demand draft in a sum of Rs. 4 lacs (DD bearing no. XAB 179965 issued by Punjab National Bank, Sultanpur Majra) has been brought. Copy thereof has been retained and original has been received by respondent no. 2 Mr. Javed. Learned counsel for appellant states that in view of the above, the present appeal may be disposed of as settled in terms of the aforesaid mediation settlement dated 23.07.2024.

Both the parties assure that they would take further requisite steps as mentioned in the aforesaid settlement.

The copy of such settlement has also been received from Delhi High Court Mediation and Conciliation Centre.

Resultantly, the appeal is disposed of in aforesaid settlement terms. 8.

Initially, the compensation amount of Rs. 5,08,296/- had been deposited by the appellant which is now lying under FDR No. 534837 dated 11.05.2018. Said amount along with interest accrued, be returned to the appellant in view of the aforesaid settlement. 9.
