This is a petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with Section 482 Cr.P.C. for quashing of FIR No.0405/2017 under Section 498A/406/34 IPC registered at Police Station Mayur Vihar PH-1. It is stated that the matter has been settled amicably and the petitioner and Respondent No.2 are living together in the matrimonial home since 13.11.2017.

Respondent No.2/ Complainant is present before the Court and is identified by the Investigating Officer. I have enquired from her whether the matter has been settled with the petitioner amicably W.P.(CRL) 1394/2018

without fear and pressure. She has stated that the matter has been settled without any fear or pressure and she is living in the matrimonial home since 13.11.2017.

The petition is supported by the affidavit of the parties. 4.

Since the matter has been settled between the parties and the complainant is residing with petitioner in the matrimonial home, no useful purpose will be served to continue with the proceedings under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC. In the interest of justice and to enable the parties to maintain their matrimonial relations, FIR No.0405/2017 under Section 498A/406/34 IPC registered at Police Station Mayur Vihar PH-1 and all the proceedings arising therefrom are quashed. 5.

The petition is disposed of accordingly.
