% 20.03.2017 (1) Present petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. has been preferred by the petitioners for quashing of FIR No.216/12 under Sections 341/324/34 IPC registered at Police Station Bhajanpura. It is stated that the matter has been settled with the complainant/respondent No.4 amicably before Delhi Mediation Centre, Karkardooma Courts. (2) It is informed that petitioner No.2 and respondent No.4 (Saman) were married to each other. Case FIR No.188/2012 under Section 498A/406/34 IPC registered at Police Station Bhajanpura has CRL.M.C. 1131/2017
been settled. Divorce by mutual consent has been granted. (3) Respondent No.4-complainant is present before the Court and is identified by the Investigating Officer present in the court. I have enquired from the complainant whether the matter has been settled with the petitioners amicably without fear and pressure. She has informed that the matter has been settled without any fear or pressure and she has no objection to the quashing of the FIR. (4) The petition is supported by the affidavits of the parties. Settlement/Compromise deed dated 18.02.2017 signed by the parties before Delhi Mediation Centre, Karkardooma Courts is on record. (5) Since the complainant/Respondent No.4 has voluntarily settled the dispute with the petitioners, no useful purpose will be served to continue with the proceedings. In the interest of justice and to put an end to the litigation, FIR No.216/12 under Sections 341/324/34 IPC registered at Police Station Bhajanpura and all the proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.
(6) The petitioners are, however, burdened with costs of `20,000/- to be deposited with Prime Minister National Relief Fund within two weeks. The Registry shall ensure the compliance of the order. (7) The petition is disposed of accordingly.
