The present writ petition has been filed by the Petitioner praying for his release on personal bond. The petitioner herein has been granted furlough by DG(Prisons) vide order dated 17.12.2015 on furnishing personal bond in the sum of Rs.10,000/- along with one surety of the like amount to the satisfaction of the Jail Superintendent.

The petitioner made a representation for modification of order dated 17.12.2015 for release on personal bond or cash in lieu of surety bond has been dismissed vide order dated 18.2.2016.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that on previous occasion the petitioner was released on furnishing personal bond and cash surety and his prayer may be considered by this Court.

Considering the gravity of the offence for which the Petitioner is undergoing sentence i.e. for committing the offence punishable under Section 302 IPC and that for furnishing surety bond, no cash is required to be deposited, no ground is made out to allow the prayer of the Petitioner for
his release on personal bond.

Writ petition is hereby dismissed.

Petitioner be informed through concerned Jail Superintendent about the orders passed.
