This is a petition under Section 29A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 (hereafter 'the Act'), inter alia, praying that the time for making the award be extended for a further period of six months. The learned counsel appearing for the respondent also joins the petitioner in making the aforesaid request. It is stated that the arbitration proceedings are at the stage of final hearing. In view of the request made by the parties, the time for making the award is extended by a further period of six months from today, that is, upto 17.11.2018.
