% 18.05.2016 1.

This public interest petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents 1 to 3/South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC) to take action for demolition of the alleged unauthorized constructions in South Delhi area.

2.

Sh.Ajay Arora, the learned Standing Counsel for SDMC has at the outset brought to our notice that the petitioner had earlier filed W.P.(C) No.2708/2014 with the same prayer and that the said petition was disposed of by a Division Bench of this Court recording the statement on behalf of

SDMC that action would be taken if the offending constructions are found to be without a sanction and liable to be demolished. 3.

While stating on instructions that the necessary steps are being taken by SDMC in terms of the assurance given to this Court in the said writ petition, the learned counsel has further represented that the contents of the present petition would also be looked into and appropriate action for demolition of unauthorized construction, if any, would be taken by the Corporation following due process of law.

4.

The statement of the learned standing counsel is placed on record. 5.

The writ petition is accordingly disposed of. CHIEF JUSTICE JAYANT NATH, J MAY 18, 2016/pmc
