CONT.CAS(C) 482/2016 1.

Vide judgment dated 24th August, 2015, the Division Bench of this Court passed certain directions with respect to the defence assistant provided to the petitioner with respect to the inquiry pending against the petitioner.

The Inquiry Officer has completed the inquiry against the petitioner and submitted his report dated 15th March, 2016. The copy of the memorandum dated 15th March, 2016 by which the inquiry report has been sent to the petitioner has been filed as Annexure P12. 3.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the inquiry has been conducted irregularly and, therefore, the de-novo inquiry should be ordered in the matter.

The Contempt Petition is not maintainable and is, therefore, dismissed. The petitioner however is at liberty to avail appropriate legal

remedies available to him against the inquiry report in accordance with law. J.R. MIDHA, J.
