Learned APP accepts notice for respondent no. 1.

Respondent no. 2 is present in Court along with her counsel and has been identified by SI Maneesh of police station Anand Vihar. Respondent no. 2 accepts notice.

Respondent no. 2 submits that he has settled the matter with petitioners of his own free will, voluntarily and without any undue force, pressure or coercion vide Memorandum of Understanding dated 5th May, 2018. He further says that he is not willing to pursue criminal proceedings against petitioners any further and he has no objection in case FIR No.590/2017 under sections 323/341/506/34 IPC registered at police station Anand Vihar and consequent proceedings emanating therefrom, are quashed.

Keeping in view the settlement arrived at between the petitioners and

respondent no. 2 voluntarily, in my view, no fruitful purpose would be served to keep the criminal proceedings pending. Accordingly, in the interest of justice, aforesaid FIR and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.
