By way of this writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with Section 482 of Cr.P.C., petitioner is seeking extension of parole granted to the Petitioner vide order dated 29th March, 2016 passed by Deputy Secretary, Govt. of NCT of Delhi for getting his wife admitted in AIIMS hospital on 5th May, 2016.

Perusal of the record reveals that vide order dated 29th March, 2016 passed by the Competent Authority, the petitioner was granted parole for a period of one month on the ground of undergoing surgery as he was W.P.(CRL) 1318/2016

suffering from 'Hernia'. Now, this petition has been filed for extension of parole for taking care of his ailing wife.

No ground for extension of parole is made out and the prayer of the Petitioner seeking extension of parole is declined. 4.

Writ petition is hereby dismissed.

The Petitioner is directed to surrender before the concerned Jail Superintendent after expiry of the parole period. PRATIBHA RANI, J.
