O R D E R

% 26.07.2018 The present appeal is directed against the order dated 21.12.2017 passed by a learned Single Judge of this Court by which writ petition being no. W.P. (C) 8218/2015 filed by the respondent workman has been allowed in part and the award of the Presiding Officer, Labour Court, has been modified. By the impugned order dated 21.12.2017, the learned Single Judge has awarded a sum of Rs.1,50,000/- to the respondent/workman as compensation.

Learned counsel for the appellant submits that a sum of Rs.50,000/- stands deposited before the Executing Court. He further submits that a bank draft bearing No. 189758 dated 25.07.2018 in the sum of Rs. 1,00,000/- drawn on Bombay Mercantile Co-Op Bank Limited has been brought to Court today. The respondent is present in Court. Proof of identification has been produced. The bank draft in the sum of Rs.1,00,000/- has been handed over to the respondent. Mr. Rahmani, counsel for the appellant undertakes that interest accrued on the amount deposited/paid beyond four weeks in terms of the order dated 21.12.2017 passed by the learned Single Judge shall be paid

within one week from today directly to the workman by means of a bank draft upon receipt Since the order dated 21.12.2017 passed by learned Single Judge has been substantially complied with and counsel for the appellant has stated that the amount of interest accrued shall be cleared within one week, no further orders are required to be passed in the appeal.
