CORAM:

HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE A.K. PATHAK

% 14.05.2018 Notice.

Learned APP accepts notice for respondent no. 1.

Respondent no.2 Ms. Shilpa Bajaj is present in Court and accepts notice. Respondent no. 2 has been identified by Inspector Usha Sharma of police station Hari Nagar. It is submitted that petitioner and respondent no.2 have settled their disputes amicably, vide a Settlement Deed dated 26th April, 2018 (Annexre P-2), of her own free will, voluntarily and without any undue force, pressure or coercion; therefore, FIR No.194/2018 under Section 354D IPC registered at police station Hari Nagar and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom may be quashed. Respondent no. 2

submits that she is not willing to pursue the FIR any further and the same may be quashed.

Keeping in mind the settlement arrived at between the petitioner and respondent no. 2 voluntarily, in my view, no fruitful purpose would be served to keep the criminal proceedings pending. Accordingly, in the interest of justice, aforesaid FIR and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

Petition is disposed of in the above terms. Dasti. A.K. PATHAK, J.
