CORAM:

HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE A.K. PATHAK

O R D E R

% 13.08.2018 Respondent no.2 Mr. Pritipal Singh is present in Court and accepts notice. He has been identified by SI Manish Kumar of police station Vasant Kunj (North).

Respondent no.2 submits that he has settled the matter with the petitioner of his own free will and without any undue force, pressure or coercion, vide a Memorandum of Settlement dated 2nd May, 2016. Respondent no. 2 submits that he has received the entire settled amount of `5,00,000/- and he has no objection in case FIR and consequent proceedings

emanating therefrom are quashed against petitioner. Keeping in mind the settlement arrived at between the petitioner and respondent no. 2 voluntarily, in my view, no fruitful purpose would be served to keep the criminal proceedings pending. Accordingly, in the interest of justice, FIR no. 60/2016 under Section 420 IPC registered at Police Station Vasant Kunj North and consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

Petition is disposed of in the above terms. Dasti. A.K. PATHAK, J.
