W.P.(C) 3723/2016 & CM No.15865/2016 The petitioner has filed the present petition seeking directions to the respondents to grant maternity benefits consisting of leave and pay under the provisions of Maternity Benefit Act, 1961 (hereinafter referred to as 'the Act'). The petitioner further seeks directions to the respondents to extend the term of employment of the petitioner as applied for vide letter dated 27.02.2016 after the expiration of period of maternity leave as provided for under the Act. After some arguments, Ms.Nikita Pandey, learned counsel for the petitioner seeks permission to withdraw the present petition and

the application with liberty to approach the Central Administrative Tribunal.

With the aforesaid liberty, the petition as well as application stand disposed of.
