This is a petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with Section 482 Cr.P.C. for quashing of FIR No.503/2016 under W.P.(CRL) 1466/2018

Sections 498-A/406/34 IPC registered at Police Station Model Town. It is stated that the matter has been settled amicably and the petitioner No.1 and Respondent No.2 are living together in the matrimonial home since 14.04.2018.

Respondent No.2/ Complainant is present before the Court with her counsel and is identified by the Investigating Officer. I have enquired from her whether the matter has been settled with the petitioners amicably without fear and pressure. She has stated that the matter has been settled without any fear or pressure and she is living in the matrimonial home since 14.04.2018.

The petition is supported by the affidavit of the parties. 4.

Since the matter has been settled between the parties and the complainant is residing with petitioner No.1 in the matrimonial home happily, no useful purpose will be served to continue with the proceedings under Sections 406/498-A/34 IPC. In the interest of justice and to enable the parties to maintain their matrimonial relations, FIR No.503/2016 under Sections 498-A/406/34 IPC registered at Police Station Model Town and all the proceedings arising therefrom are quashed.

The petition is disposed of accordingly.
