% 24.04.2017 By this petition the petitioners seek quashing of FIR No. 454/2013 under Sections 66(A)/67 of Information Technology Act, 2000 registered at PS Amar Colony on the complaint of respondent No.2 on the ground that parties have settled the matter.

Learned APP for the State submits that though the settlement has been arrived at between the parties, however the allegations in the complaint were that the petitioners posted a picture of the respondent No.3 on the ORKUT along with the phone calls resulting in respondent No.3 receiving obnoxious calls. Petitioners were the students of respondent No.3 who was the teacher. CRL.M.C. 1144/2017

Considering the nature of allegations and evidence collected during the course of trial, even though the parties have settled the matter, this Court is not inclined to quash the above-noted FIR and the proceedings pursuant thereto.

Petition is dismissed.
