CORAM:
HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE MANMOHAN
O R D E R
% 16.05.2016 CM Appls. 18652-18653/2016 (exemption) in W.P.(C) 4467/2016 Allowed, subject to just exceptions.
W.P.(C) 4467/2016 Present writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to respondents to supply the complete information as desired by the petitioner in terms of Right to Information application dated 13th January, 2014. A perusal of the file reveals that the Central Information Commission (for short „CIC‟) has already directed the petitioner to go to the SDM, Mehrauli and collect the above-mentioned documents. If any information was not supplied, the petitioner was granted liberty to inspect the record of SDM, Saket.
The petitioner‟s grievance is that the order passed by the CIC has not been complied with.
In the opinion of this Court, a writ petition cannot be filed seeking execution of CIC order. The Right to Information Act is a complete code, which provides for various remedies in the event, the order of CIC is not complied with.
Consequently, present writ petition is dismissed with liberty to the petitioner to file appropriate proceedings in accordance with law. MANMOHAN, J MAY 16, 2016 js
