% 21.03.2017 1.
This is a petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. for quashing of FIR No.198/2012 under Section 498A/406 IPC registered at PS K.W.Camp/Model Town. It is stated that the matter has been settled amicably and the petitioner No.1 and Respondent No.2 are living together happily in the matrimonial home since 10.07.2013. 2.
Respondent No.2/ Complainant is present before the Court with her counsel and is identified by the Investigating Officer. I have CRL.M.C. 1155/2017
enquired from her whether the matter has been settled with the petitioners amicably without fear and pressure. She has stated that the matter has been settled without any fear or pressure and she is living in the matrimonial home since 10.07.2013. She has no objection to the quashing of the FIR.
3.
Since the matter has been settled between the parties and the complainant is residing with petitioner No.1 in the matrimonial home, no useful purpose will be served to continue with the proceedings under Sections 498A/406 IPC. In the interest of justice and to enable the parties to maintain their matrimonial relations, FIR No.198/2012 under Section 498A/406 IPC registered at PS K.W.Camp/Model Town and all the proceedings arising therefrom are quashed. 4.
The petition is disposed of accordingly.
