% 08.03.2025 Appellant insurance company has filed an appeal for reduction of the award dated 15.04.2014 passed by the Learned MACT, awarding a compensation of Rs. 33,04,618/- along with interest @ 9% p.a. from the date of filing of claim petition. On appeal, the insurance company deposited entire awarded amount with up to date interest in terms of the order dated 04.08.2014 passed by this Hon'ble Court was deposited before the registrar general of this court and 60% of the awarded amount was released to respondent/claimant in term of the award of the tribunal . We have interacted with the learned Counsel/parties concerned. Apropos such interaction and due deliberation, it is agreed between the parties that out of the awarded amount along with accrued total interest, lump sum of Rs.3,25,000/- be refunded to the insurance company and balance amount lying deposited after adjusting the amount of Rs.3,25,000/- shall go to the respondent-claimant.

In view of the above settlement, Registrar General is directed to refund lump sum of Rs.3,25,000/- to the appellant-insurance company and the balance amount lying deposited along with the total interest shall be released to the respondent no.1 on fulfilment all the requisite formalities. The statutory amount deposited as a pre-condition for filing appeal with interest, if any, be refunded to the Insurance Company. The present appeal alongwith the pending application(s), if any, is disposed of with directions in terms of the foregoing settlement. A copy of this order be sent to concerned Ld. Tribunal with LCR, if requisitioned and received.
