O R D E R

% 23.03.2017 It is submitted that petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2 have settled their disputes amicably, therefore, FIR No.465/2015 under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC registered at police station Gokul Puri on the complaint of respondent no.2 may be quashed. Petitioner nos.2 to 5 are the relatives of petitioner no.1. Respondent no.2 is present in court along with her counsel and has been identified by ASI Chhaju Lal PS Gokal Puri. Respondent no.2 admits having settled the matter with petitioner no.1. She submits that she has settled the matter of her own free will and without any undue force, pressure or coercion. She further submits that her marriage with petitioner

no.1 has already been dissolved by decree of divorce by mutual consent dated 6th December, 2016 passed by Family Court, North East District, Vishwas Nagar, Delhi. She admits having received the entire settled amount. She submits that FIR may be quashed.

Keeping in mind the settlement arrived at between petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2 and that the entire settled amount has been received, inasmuch as, marriage between them has already been dissolved by decree of divorce by mutual consent, in the interest of justice, FIR No.465/2015 under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC registered at police station Gokul Puri, is quashed.

Petition is disposed of in the above terms. Miscellaneous application is disposed of as infructuous.
