O R D E R

% 13.05.2016 The petitioner is aggrieved only to the limited extent that inspite of specific directions given by this Court making the proceedings before the ARC time bound yet for one or the other reason, the matter has been delayed. The petitioner before this Court is the landlord in the Trial Court. He has filed the eviction petition under Section 14 (1)(e) of the DRCA.

Record shows that after the leave had been granted in favour of the tenant and the written statement having been filed, the petitioner had entered into the witness box on 16.09.2014. Thereafter the matter has been adjourned. PW-1 only stands party cross-examined. Next date fixed before the Trial Judge is 16.05.2016. The Trial Judge shall abide by the letter and spirit of the earlier order passed by this Court on 22.08.2014 where the ARC had been requested to expedite the disposal of this petition. This position has been reiterated even today.

The Trial Judge/ARC shall dispose of the petition expeditiously and preferably within 16 months from the receipt of the order. With these directions, petition disposed of.
