% 13.03.2019 By this petition the petitioner had sought a writ of mandamus seeking release from Tihar Jail where the petitioner is presently in custody under Section 24 of the Extradition Act, and a compensation for illegal detention for a period of two and a half years.

Learned proxy counsel for the learned Standing Counsel for the UOI has handed-over a communication dated 12th March, 2019 to this Court received from the Ministry of External Affairs, UOI intimating that the authorities of U.K. have agreed to issue travel documents to the petitioner who is a Bangladeshi national for the purpose of extradition which was causing undue delay.
