Learned counsel for the appellant prays for an adjournment on the ground that the matter has been referred to the Delhi High Court Mediation and Conciliation Centre by the learned Joint Registrar vide order dated 15th January, 2024.

This Court finds that the present appeal has been filed challenging an order dismissing the application for amendment of the written statement as far back as 8th April, 2016.

A perusal of the paper book reveals that no substantial order has been passed in the present appeal for the last nearly seven years as the parties have only been taking adjournments. Consequently, this Court is of the view that no useful purpose would be served by keeping the present appeal pending.
