W.P.(CRL) 1536/2018 Issue notice. Mr. Mehra accepts notice on behalf of the State. Status report is tendered in court which is taken on record. The petitioner has preferred the present writ petition to seek a writ of habeas corpus for production of his wife Simran. The petitioner claims that he got married to Simran on 03.03.2014 and that since 23.04.2018 Simran
went missing. The petitioner states that according to his information she has eloped with respondent no. 3 Sunny Bagri.
Simran is present in Court. She denies that she ever got married to the petitioner. She states that she was only residing with the petitioner in a live-in-relationship. She states that she had left the petitioner and that she has married Sunny Bagri of her own free will and accord. She states that she does not wish to return to the petitioner.
In view of the statement made by Simran, no further orders are called for in the present petition.
