This is a petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with Section 482 Cr.P.C. for quashing of FIR No.1062/2015 under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC registered at Police Station Sarai Rohilla. It is stated that the matter has been settled amicably and the petitioner and Respondent No.2 are living together in the matrimonial home for the last about six months.

Respondent No.2/ Complainant is present before the Court and is identified by the Investigating Officer. I have enquired from her W.P.(CRL) 1610/2018

whether the matter has been settled with the petitioner amicably without fear and pressure. She has stated that the matter has been settled without any fear or pressure and she is living in the matrimonial home for the last about six months. 3.

The petition is supported by the affidavit of the parties. 4.

It is informed by the learned ASC that there are other eight coaccused persons named in the FIR. Learned counsel for the petitioner states that he will file amended memo of parties during the course of the day. Let the needful be done.

Since the matter has been settled between the parties and the complainant is residing with petitioner in the matrimonial home happily, no useful purpose will be served to continue with the proceedings under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC. In the interest of justice and to enable the parties to maintain their matrimonial relations, FIR No.1062/2015 under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC registered at Police Station Sarai Rohilla and all the proceedings arising therefrom are quashed.

The petition is disposed of accordingly.
