Petitioner seeks quashing of FIR No. 206/2017 under Sections 354/506 IPC read with Section 10 POSCO Act, PS Subhash Place. 2.

The allegations against the petitioner are that he had misbehaved his daughter, who is aged 17 years. Respondent No.2 is present in person in the Court today and represented through her mother. It is contended by respondent No.2 that the subject allegations were levelled as there was a matrimonial discord between the parties. 3.

Parties have since settled their dispute and are residing together amicably as a family.

Respondent No.2 who is present in Court in person today along with her mother, represented by counsel and is identified by the Investigating Officer, submit that they do not wish to press the CRL.M.C. 2551/2018

complaint.

The petitioner, who is present in the Court also submits that in view of the above, he does not wish to press any charges against the respondents.

In view of the above and keeping in view of the fact that the parties have resolved their dispute amicably and are residing together amicably as a family, and a Settlement has been arrived at between the parties, and further they do not wish to press charges against each other, continuation of criminal proceedings will be an exercise in futility and justice in the case demands that the dispute between the parties is put to an end and peace is restored; securing the ends of justice being the ultimate guiding factor. It would be expedient to quash the subject FIR and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom.

Accordingly, FIR 206/2017 under Sections 354/506 IPC read with Section 10 POSCO Act, PS Subhash Place, and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are hereby quashed. 8.
